Le système SPADE. Introduit par INTELSAT dans un réseau vers 1971, c'est le premier système à porteuses monovoies utilisant un répéteur de 36MHz de couverture globale d'un satellite d'INTELSAT (tels ceux de satellites INTELSAT IV, IV-A et V).
