Technoterrorism is the intermediate step between "conventional" terrorism and "cyberterrorism. "The technoterrorist understands the importance of high technology networks and C2(command and control) systems to a "third wave" state. Unlike the cyberterrorist, the technoterrorist will target and attack those systems that exist in the physical world to disrupt cyberspace. Thus, the computer itself(hardware rather than software) is the target of the technoterrorist. The technoterrorist will use "conventional" weapons such as bombs and physical destruction to destroy or disable those systems that control cyberspace.

The FS-4 and FS-4 Pro are portable DTE (Direct To Edit) disk recorders for use with hand-held DV (Digital Video) camcorders. Both FS-4 models feature an internal disk drive, portable enclosure and a host of record, playback and control features. When in use the device is connected to a camcorder via a FireWire cable and the output of the camera is recorded onto the disk drive. When recording is completed, the device is then connected to a personal computer via a FireWire cable and the data on the disk can be accessed and edited.

DTE combines the steps of acquisition(recording of the video imagery) and capturing(conversion of the data to a format that can be stored on disk). In effect, DTE eliminates the task of capturing files before editing them, bypassing the need for recording tape and reducing the overall amount of hardware used and time required for processing. SIR... stands for Standard Interface Rack. SIR is a system for integrating hardware. It is a technology we use to take Earth things to space. The rack contains mechanical parts, called a liner, used to slide drawers in and out, much like a file cabinet. Drawers are used to contain or repackage things and make them flight ready. For example, we can’t take computers to space in the same outer packages or cases we use on Earth because some pieces may float out or the vibration from launch would destroy them. So, we take all the computer's guts from the central processing unit(its brain) and repackage it in one of these drawers. On the rack side, the SIR also provides power and data for the drawers through cables. Power for a drawer comes from a connector in the rack, just like a wall outlet at your house. Data cables serve many purposes, but the main one is for communication. This is so drawers can "talk" to each other, the Space Station, and Earth. For the computer drawer mentioned above, parts are wired to connectors in the drawer. When you slide the drawer into the rack, it connects to cables already in the rack.

These are lowest on the rungs of the video ladder, in that they have less capability than boards that capture streaming video. These cards enable you to grab a single frame of video from a Laser Disk or a VCR. Video frame grabbers come in two varieties : single-frame capture and real-time capture. Single-frame capture boards enable you to freeze a selected frame and record it to your hard disk. In this function, single-frame boards are similar to scanners-they provide a means of capturing an image and saving it for use in a multimedia title.... Real-time frame grabbers capture full-motion video at a rate between 15 and 30 frames-per-second using video compression....
