Saint Joseph's Day, commonly called the Feast of St. Joseph or in some churches, the Solemnity of Saint Joseph is marked in some Christian churches in honor of Saint Joseph, spouse of Mary and foster-father of Jesus. It is a Solemnity in the Roman Catholic Church, and a feast or festival in the Lutheran Church, and a feast in the provinces of the Anglican Communion, falling on 19 March. In the Orthodox Church, the Feast falls on the Sunday after Christmas. Saint Bernardino of Siena was the main proponent of Joseph's veneration in the western Church, where his feast day was first celebrated in 1621. St. Stephen's Day in Hungary is observed on August 20, the day on which the allegedly sacred relics of Stephen I of Hungary were transferred to the city of Buda. This day is the ultimate public holiday in Hungary. Stephen I, or "Stephanus" as he was named in Latin by Pope Sylvester II, was originally a pagan chieftain's son answering to the name "Vajk". He gouged out the eyes and poured boiling lead into the ears of his arch rival(Vasoly) and was awarded a crown by the pope for forcing catholicism onto the Hungarian people. The converted king was canonized by Pope Gregory VII in AD 1083 and has since been referred to as St Stephen of Hungary. An officer appointed by either ATGHQ or an AL COMD to command an ALCE for a defined operation/exercise. He has the powers of a commanding officer in accordance with QR&O Vol II Art 101. 01 and hence has full command over all assigned personnel including responsibility for their dress and off-duty deportment. The ALCE COMD is responsible through the AL COMD to Commander ATG.
