Redbanded rockfish are a deep-bodied fish with a rounded head. Underwater they appear white or light pink with four darker red or orange vertical bars on the body(one on the caudal peduncle). They have two oblique bands crossing their heads, one extending backward from the eye and the other near the upper jaw.

Stem elongation or jointing occurs as a result of internode elongation. Usually a plant has about five to six leaves on the main shoot when internode elongation first begins. Throughout development, the lower four nodes remain in the crown. The fifth node may remain in the crown or be elevated slightly and nodes six and seven are generally elevated above the soil. The elongating internode is hollow between the crown and the elevated growing point, except in solid stem varieties. The name of the Specimen Set between 1971 and 1981. One of the two seven-coin sets introduced in 1971 by the Royal Canadian Mint(the other being the Prestige Set), it contained two one-cent pieces as well as a five-, ten-, twenty-five-, and fifty-cent pieces and a nickel dollar. The extra coin displayed the obverse(head side). First singly-struck, then double-struck after 1977, the coins were housed in a leather-covered rectangular case. In 1981, the "Custom Set" was renamed the "Specimen Set" and became a six-coin set once, with the appearance of capsules and newly designed cases, it became possible to see the obverse and reverse of coins without manipulating them.

Other life-science experiments use crew members as experimental subjects. One is a NASA "Autogenic Feedback" experiment, designed to investigate the extent to which prior training can help astronauts to use voluntary control to reduce the effects of space sickness. All wear electrodes to record such parameters as heart and respiration rate, sweating, etc., plus accelerometers to monitor head and body movements : these seem to have a relationship to space sickness.
