The Adult Injury Management Network(AIMNet) at the University of Victoria has an established track record in the area of fall and fall-related injury prevention among older people. AIMNet is recognized as a national leader in the field of injury prevention. The goal of this project is to reduce falls and fall-related injuries among residents of long-term care facilities in several pilot sites across Canada. The proposed model focuses on the determinants of health that put residents of care facilities at greatest risk of sustaining a fall and related injuries.
