Muchos sitios —entre ellos algunos judiciales y jurídicos— intentan evitar que se realicen ente tipo de enlaces, haciendo que la dirección de una sentencia o un caso quede oculta. Existe mucha discusión sobre los beneficios y desventajas de los enlaces profundos, pero tratándose de documentos judiciales se estima que —al menos las sentencias— son documentos públicos autónomos, que deberían poder accederse en forma irrestricta. Lancement du satellite HESSI (NASA) le 5 février. HESSI (High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager), le nouveau petit satellite scientifique de la NASA, dédié à l'étude du Soleil, devrait s'élancer le 5 février prochain... D'une masse de 290 kg, il sera placé sur une orbite circulaire de 597 km d'altitude et incliné à 38° sur l'équateur au moyen d'une fusée aéroportée Pegase-XL, d'Orbital Sciences.

Les États-Unis lanceront en 2000 et 2001 deux nouvelles missions scientifiques d'exploration spatiale, a annoncé la NASA. La première sonde, baptisée HESSI, devrait partir en l'an 2000 à destination du Soleil, où elle étudiera les particules et l'énergie libérée par les éruptions solaires.

À la suite de l'échec de la mission du X-43A, le lancement d'HESSI, qui était programmé pour le 7 juin 2001, a été repoussé. HESSI (High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager) doit être lancé par une fusée aéroportée Pegasus, semblable à celle qui a emporté le X-43.

What you need in order to access on-line music distribution services : To get to the Internet Underground Music Archive(IUMA) RockNet, Kaleidospace and metaverse. com, you’ll be best off with full Internet access, and a sound card that gives your computer audio-capability, unless you own a Macintosh, which already has sound capacity built in. If you have full Internet access, connect to the World Wide Web(WWW). The quickest way to each service is to use your favorite WWW browser. With the more-powerful Mosaic browser, you can listen to the music on-line, but you need a very powerful computer. Point you browser at the following Universal Resource Locators(URL) : IUMA, RockNet, Kaleisdospace, metaverse. com. The home page of each site usually has a how-to guide. If your system doesn’t allow WWW access, but lets you use gopher(like Concordia University's Pavo system), go to your main command prompt, and type in gopher URI. for site. Once at the site, you will have to download the sound files to your Internet system, or directly to your PC(assuming you use a terminal server.)

Yet there are limits to the technology as it now exists. Even with a high-speed modem and the necessary sound card, a three- or four-minute song can take anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours to download. It can also use up a large amount of computer storage space.
