Le levé du profil sismique vertical (PSV) est effectué dans le but d'obtenir des données précises sur le rapport entre le temps et la profondeur après le forage de chaque puits jusqu'à la profondeur cible (là où des réserves d'hydrocarbures devraient être présentes).
