Ce guide a été mis au point par la Division de la politique de l'information, des communications et de la sécurité, en consultation avec le Groupe de l'évaluation, de la vérification et de l'examen du Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor. Ce guide donne au milieu des vérificateurs internes des conseils sur la façon de vérifier la mise en œuvre de la politique sur la sécurité du gouvernement et des normes opérationnelles relatives à la sécurité des technologies de l'information (STI). Ces conseils pourraient aussi rendre service aux directions des ministères qui évaluent elles-mêmes le programme de sécurité des TI de leur ministère, aux agents de sécurité qui effectuent des examens de sécurité et aux groupes chargés de l'examen des programmes.
