The Metal Finishing Industry Pollution Prevention Project is a joint industry-government project aimed at assisting metal finishers with the adoption of pollution prevention principles and planning. This voluntary project operates under a Memorandum of Understanding between the Canadian Association of Metal Finishers, the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society, the Metal Finishing Suppliers’ Association, the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Environment Canada. Le projet de prévention de pollution de l'industrie de finition de métaux est un projet conjoint de l'industrie et du gouvernement cherchant à venir en aide aux finisseurs de métaux qui désirent adopter et planifier des mesures préventives de pollution. Ce projet volontaire existe sous une entente créée entre l'Association Canadienne des Finisseurs de Métaux, la American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society, la Metal Finishing Suppliers Association, le ministère de l'environnement ontarien et Environnement Canada.
