Saint John, Canada's oldest incorporated city comes alive with colour and excitement as Festival by the Sea, one of Canada's foremost national performing arts festivals, presents seven days of sensational entertainment in celebration of Canada's rich culture and heritage. Festival by the Sea originated as the cultural component of the Canada Games in 1985. This event included many fine facilities devoted to the athletes but perhaps more importantly, created an environment where people came to believe and expect that Saint John could produce and support excellence. Electronic kiosks at Visitor Information Centres will allow tourists to access tourism information, real-time reservations, e-mail, video and local e-commerce sites. Par des kiosques électroniques placés dans les centres d'information des visiteurs, les touristes pourront accéder à de l'information sur les zones touristiques, à des réservations en temps réel, au courrier électronique, à des vidéos et au commerce électronique local. Ces guides électroniques donneront un accès immédiat aux festivals, manifestations, expositions locales, activités de plein air, logements et services.
