The laparoscopic cholecystectomy involves the insertion of a long narrow cylindrical tube with a camera on the end, through an approximately 1 cm incision in the abdomen, which allows visualization of the internal organs and projection of this image onto a video monitor. Three smaller incisions allow for insertion of other instruments to perform the surgical procedure. A laser may be used for the incision and cautery(burning unwanted tissue to stop bleeding), in which case the procedure may be called laser laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Shaduf : Primitive device used to lift water from a well or stream for irrigation purposes. Essentially the device consists of a long boom balanced across a horizontal support form 8 to 10 ft(2. 4 3 m) above the ground. The beam has a long, thin end and a short, stubby end. From the long end a bucket or similar container is suspended, and on the shorter end there is a counterweight. The operator pulls on a rope that lowers the long end of the boom so that the bucket submerges and is filled with water. Often faced with winter's hardships, the city's population reinvented this popular tradition with a winter celebration that warmed up the hearts of all of it revellers. Interrupted by two wars, then the economic crisis of 1929, the Carnival was held sporadically until the second half of the century. In 1954, in the context of the economic development of the Old Capital, a group of business people relaunched the festivities. That year, Bonhomme was born and elected the event's representative. The first official edition of the Québec Winter Carnival took place in 1955. The Carnival snowballed into an undeniable manifestation for the entire Québec City population, and was an important vehicle for tourism and economical activity in the city.

En 1954, dans une perspective de développement économique de la Vieille Capitale, un groupe de gens d'affaires relance la fête. Bonhomme naît en 1954 et est élu représentant de l'événement. La première édition du Carnaval d'hiver de Québec a lieu en 1955. Le Carnaval de Québec devient alors une manifestation incontournable pour la population de Québec, et un moteur de l'activité touristique hivernale de la ville.

This vehicle, albeit small, can carry up to five people and their luggage. It has a low gravity center, what enhances dynamics, its oval shape prevents serious accident consequences and, when visibility is low, a screen takes the place of the regular windshield and shows the driver infrared images of the road, guiding him/her safely to destination.

Current devices licensed for administration of smallpox vaccine in the United States include the bifurcated needle ... The objective is to penetrate the stratum corneum layer of the skin and deliver a small amount of vaccine to the deep epidermis. ... This simple device is easy to use, uses a very small amount (0.0025 ml) of smallpox vaccine, and provides standardization of vaccine administration. The needle is dipped into reconstituted vaccine and the small volume is held between the two tines by capillary action. ... WHO [World Health Organization] and CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidelines call for the needle to be held at a 90° angle (perpendicular) to the skin and the vaccine administered by 15 strokes to an area of about 5 mm diameter. The strokes should be sufficiently vigorous to produce a trace of blood at the vaccination site.

The bifurcated needle is approximately 2-1/2 inches long with a very small two-pronged needle at one end. The prongs have a very small opening between them that holds the vaccine to be applied to the arm. The prongs are 1/16 inches long and are used to pierce the outer layer of the skin only.

A tube well as the name implies is simply a tube or pipe bored into the underground reservoir, fitted with a strainer at the lower end and worked at the top by a pump, to lift water for irrigation. A tube well is type of water well in which a long 5 to 8 inch wide stainless steel tube is inserted in the well. This tube is then extended to the underground water below the lower surface of the well.

Some types of anesthesia forceps are designed with an alternative embodiment that provides a fourth bend near the guiding end of the forceps, which allows for easier insertion of a catheter in some patients, such as children.
