Modern heap leach pads are large engineered structures, lined with an impermeable layer of plastic(referred to as a geosynthetic membrane) and placed over a prepared surface that is typically a compacted soil layer. Ore is placed(heaped) on the lined pad and treated with chemicals to dissolve(leach) a metal of interest while protecting the environment. The plastic liner placed at the bottom and around the sides of the pad prevents chemicals from leaking into the soil and contaminating groundwater. The interest of a ground based Slit Aperture Telescope(SAT) which operates with a long thin pupil has been underlined for applications in the field of high angular resolution observations by speckle-interferometric techniques. The authors present the principle of an image processing algorithm which could be used associated with a space-SAT for astronomical image reconstruction. A full coverage of the two dimensional Fourier plane of the astronomical object can be obtained by rotating the SAT around its optical axis. The method of image reconstruction is analogous to those used in computerized tomography and uses Fast Fourier Transform algorithm. The Canada Memorial commemorates an extraordinary co-operation between two nations in two world wars. The contribution made by Canada was generous and unconditional. It was accepted by Great Britain on the understanding that Canada's participation, with both personnel and material, implied no degree of imperial subordination but was offered from one sovereign nation to another in testimony of long association and mutual strategic interest. Canada joined in the war effort in the full knowledge that Britain's urgent need for her help derived from a threat that did not menace her immediately but posed nevertheless a moral challenge which the nature of Canadian nationhood demanded should be confronted and outfaced. There were no means, either in 1914 or 1939, by which Britain might have bound Canada to a war effort. Retention Trusts. In cases where holding companies have been established for estate planning purposes, right in such companies may be put into a trust for retention.
