The Taxpayer Bill of Rights will make it easier for you to understand what you can expect in your dealings with us; that you will be treated fairly under clear and established rules, and that you can look forward to high standards of service in all your interactions with us. The Taxpayer Bill of Rights also includes the CRA Commitment to Small Business, a five-part statement through which the CRA undertakes to support the competitiveness of the Canadian business community by ensuring that interactions with the CRA are as effective and efficient as possible. These commitments complement the Government of Canada's pledge to create a competitive and dynamic business environment in which Canadian businesses will thrive. Taxpayer rights have been evolving since 1985 when the National Revenue Minister introduced a publication titled "Declaration of Taxpayer Rights. "Several factors such as new tax laws and the changing environment in which businesses and taxpayers operate were some of the catalysts behind these new expanded and enhanced taxpayer rights.

Fresh powder snow soon becomes "skied out", or "tracked out". This is sometimes known as "crud"(although this term is also used for breakable crust)... The problem is that the fresh snow is now packed down in some areas, and piled up in others. So the amount of resistance that your skis encounter is always changing. You need to constantly look ahead and anticipate this. When you’re about to go through a deep pile, push your feet forward slightly. For the firmer sections, stand more in the middle of the ski. Rather than persisting with the short, bouncy turns of true powder, you will be better served in crud by longer, rounder, carved arcs.

However, the rotary drum head machines are proving to be the more popular and look to be superseding the chain ripper models produced by Joy. In operation the chain ripper machine works as follows. The machine is trammed forward into position then, while the main chassis of the machine remains stationary, the cutting head moves forward, sumping into the coal at the bottom of the face. The rotation of the chains carries the broken coal back over the head and deposits it on to the chain conveyor which then moves the coal to the rear end of the machine. When the sumping operation is complete, the head travels upwards towards the top of the seam, breaking out the coal as it moves. As soon as the cycle is complete the head is withdrawn and swung to the side in order to make another cut.
