Loose-fill insulation : this type of insulation is made of fiberglass, rock wool, or cellulose in the form of loose fibers or fiber pellets. It is blown into the spaces to be insulated using pneumatic equipment. The blown-in material does a great job of conforming to cavities and attics. Therefore, it is ideal for when it is tough to use other types of insulation due to the contours of the inside of the attic.

I am 90% complete with an 8’x8’ outdoor sauna. It's really a garden shed with an old wood burner in it. It's cedar-lined with very little insulation. I put about 3" of loose vermiculite in the ceiling and stapled an aluminum vapor barrier in the walls... I did put in double panes to help keep heat in.

The tandoor liner is surrounded by six cubic feet of loose vermiculite insulation. This was bought from a builders’ merchant as two bags, each three cubic feet.

Apply PlastiSpan HD insulation board to the exterior perimeter of a foundation or footing which will be subsequently buried in backfill. Prior to application of the insulation, the below grade portions of the wall should be dampproofed or waterproofed as required. PlastiSpan insulation board can then be applied using adhesive or loose laid and held in position during the backfill process. When applied to the exterior of the wall, the exposed surface above grade must be protected using a galvanized iron flashing or other suitable method.

Insulation : Material used to make a building more energy efficient and is located in roofs, walls and floors. They are classified according to form :(1) k) loose fill(2) flexible(3) rigid(4) reflective and(5) foamed-in-place. All types [are] rated according to their ability to resist heat flow(R-Value)... Flexible-composed of organic fibers generally used in areas where it is not practical to install AE fill or where the attached foil or Kraft paper facing is desired as a vapor barrier. Flexible insulation's can be wrapped with Kraft paper on the edges and a vapor barrier on one or both sides. Faces has a vapor barrier on one side only.
