Courts have used the word "consideration" with many different meanings. It is often used merely to express the legal conclusion that a promise is enforceable. If hockey is our most popular national game, then nobody does a better job of making us feel like Canadians that the people of Plaster Rock. Every year, this community brings together 96 teams from across North America to compete for the "World Pond Hockey Championships". This is "four-on-four" play, with no goaltenders and plenty of action! All games are outdoors on a lake which is home to 24 ice surfaces. This means that many teams can play simultaneously for an exciting three days. Nothing like this exists anywhere else in the world.
