The Campbell-Stokes sunshine recorder instrument records bright sunshine.... The Meteorological Service of Canada began using this instrument in 1881. The radiant heat of the sun, concentrated by the spherical glass lens, burns a narrow track in a specially prepared card mounted below the lense in a portion of a spherical bowl. In mixing bowl, combine 1-¼ cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt; mix well. Add very warm water and milk(120-130ºF) and oil to flour mixture. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand, gradually stir in enough remaining flour to make a firm dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic, 5 to 8 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Another important property for liquids and gases is viscosity. The absolute viscosity(symbol µ) measures the force needed to flow the liquid or gas at a certain speed. High viscosity liquids will require more force to move at some speed than low viscosity liquids. Think of honey(a high viscosity liquid) and water(a low viscosity liquid). If you were to push your hand through a bowl of honey, it would require more force than pushing your hand through a bowl of water(at the same speed).
