This paper proposes a novel algorithm for mammographic image enhancement, based on identifying the peripheral region of the breast and suppressing the large change in signal caused by reduction of thickness there... The thickness compensation algorithm consists of three processing steps. PMA-2[, ] the second unit was temporarily attached to Unity before launch and provides the initial docking interface for Shuttle missions with ISS [International Space Station]. One end is attached to Unity by a Passive Common Berthing Mechanism, while the other end uses an Androgynous Peripheral Attach System to connect with the Shuttle external airlock and docking system. This unit has a hatch and an 8-inch view port. Attached to the exterior of PMA-2 are MDM [Multiplexer/Demultiplexer] computers, providing early command and control of the Unity node. This allows the Shuttle crew to control the Shuttle-end PMA-2 docking mechanism from the orbiter's aft flight deck. Glial cells constitute the second component of the nervous system and are important during neuronal development. The gene described in this paper, glial cell deficient(glide) also known as glial cells missing, is necessary for glial cell fate commitment in Drosophila. Mutations at the glide locus prevent glial cell determination in the embryonic central and peripheral nervous systems. Moreover, the absence of glial cells is the consequence of a cell fate switch from glia to neurons. Selon le Dr Marc Hekker, chercheur à l'Hôpital Civic d'Ottawa, les scientifiques francophones ne traduisent pas les noms des gènes car ils les considèrent comme faisant partie de la catégorie des noms propres. On dirait donc : gène (glial cells missing) ou gène (glial cells deficient). En général, le nom du gène est le même que celui de la mutation qui a provoqué le nouveau phénotype.
