The responsibility for developing and manufacturing the DRAC systems has been conferred on EADS, as overall prime contractor, working in partnership with SurveyCopter.

The APFR [Articulating Portable Foot Restraint] secures a crew member's feet and allows the astronaut to adjust his body position at a work site. The APFR has three independent joints that are activated by EVA astronauts. Yaw and roll are controlled by foot pedals. The APFR can yaw 360 degrees and can roll 180 degrees. The Starboard 0(S0) truss segment is the first major element of the International Space Station's enormous exterior framework. The S0 Truss is 13. 4 meters(44 feet) long and 4. 6 meters(15 feet) wide and weighs 12, 247 kilograms(27, 000 pounds).
