The dribble belts are rough surface rubber belts set at an incline and rolling uphill(on the top surface).... We used a total of 5 dribble belts which are fed in series to result in a cumulative cleaning/sorting process. The first belt receives the "strippage" from the primary conveyor belt under the stripping section. The [hop] cones roll "downhill", while the leaves and less round debris such as branches stick to the rough surface and are drawn uphill along with some of the cones that don’t roll down the first dribble belt. Whatever hasn’t rolled down the first belt is delivered to the second where another round of separation takes place. This continues over 5 belts with the "trash" being deposited over the top of the last dribble belt onto a trash conveyor while the cones that come off the bottom of each dribble belt are deposited onto a primary hop conveyor.

Native to South China, Lychee is an attractive glossy leafed evergreen tree growing 25 to 40 feet. The tree grows compactly with a nice round top and spreading branches. It is related to the Goldenrain tree and the akee fruit tree. Lychee develops small green-white flowers which grow in panicles close to 12 inches long in June or July in South Florida. These panicles then produce very tasty edible ’nuts’ borne in large, red clusters.

Les fleurs se transforment en petit fruit globuleux à chair blanche et translucide avec, au centre, un gros noyau noir qui adhère à la chair. La coque (ou enveloppe) rouge et rugueuse s'enlève facilement avec les doigts. On les récolte généralement au mois d'août.

Pyramid fire. This is the best of all campfires. Three or four logs about 3 ft. to 5 ft. long are laid side by side and across them another layer with, if you desire it, a third layer on top of these. On top of the top layer the starting fire is laid. This is built up finally like a small pyramid. This type of fire is lit at the top. the starter fire ignites the logs below with falling coals and so this fire burns down-wards. It radiates heat evenly all round, and requires no attention during the night. Feu en pyramide. C'est le meilleur des feux de camp car il chauffe bien surtout s'il est muni de réflecteurs. Il peut durer toute une nuit et assure une combustion presque parfaite des bûches sans entretien du foyer. Il peut mesurer jusqu'à 1,5 m de côté s'il doit chauffer un gros appentis ou être le centre d'une veillée hivernale. - Faites un premier lit de bûches à braises fixé par des pierres si le sol est pentu, sur un tapis de branches vertes si le sol est couvert de neige. Ce lit doit avoir la forme d'un carré régulier. - Faites un second lit de bûches croisées sur la première couche puis, éventuellement, un troisième lit de bûches croisées sur le second rang. - Sur la plate-forme, construisez un feu de branchages en cône dont le centre est occupé par de l'allume feu. - Placez ensuite deux bûches moyennes de part et d'autre du cône de branches puis deux autres bûches croisées sur les premières. Ce feu brûle par le sommet. Sa combustion est lente mais il irradie beaucoup de chaleur. C'est le feu de nuit idéal en tout lieu dès qu'il vous est possible de le construire avec soin en bûches régulières. Les extrémités des bûches forment un écran protecteur qui améliore la combustion et empêche les étincelles de voler. Comme il n'a pas besoin d'entretiens réguliers et que sa combustion est lente, il en fait de toute façon très peu. Ce feu est donc préférable à tout autre lorsqu'il y a risque d'incendie.

Saddle-notch corners : These are also known as saddle cope or round notch. They get their name from the saddle shaped notch cut into the bottom of each round log. This notch on the bottom of the top log straddles the top of the log coming from the perpendicular wall. Both logs then extend past the corner. The opposing walls of a saddle-notch corner system, both gable walls for example, start with a half log. This ensures that the logs overlap one another at the corners rather than butt into each other. The saddle-notch is one of the most traditional corner intersections and is favored by many handcrafters.
