The Sahtu Trust was created by the seven financial corporations which receive settlement moneys under the terms of the Sahtu Dene and Metis Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement. The Sahtu Trust is managed by the Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated(SSI) on behalf of the financial corporations, and each financial corporation owns a portion of the Sahtu Trust as allocated on a per capita basis.
