With Alberta, one of the two provinces to enter the Canadian Confederation in 1905, and ninth in the order of precedence established according to the year of entry into Confederation and, if on the same year, according to the population of the entering provinces. This symbol is the same in all languages and must be used only in postal addresses and statistical charts where the identification of provinces and territories is restricted to two characters.
