The Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) is a European cargo supply vehicle to be used for the International Space Station (ISS). It will be launched by an Ariane-5 Rocket from Kourou in French Guiana. The first ATV is scheduled to be launched to the ISS in 2003. The European Space Agency (ESA) is to launch 9 Ariane-5's between 2003 and 2014 carrying ATV's. Each 20 tonne ATV will be placed in 300 km, 51.6 degrees orbit and will then manoeuvre to rendezvous and dock with the ISS. The ATV will provide unpressurized cargo, including propellant and cargo stored in its pressurized compartment including payloads and experiments. The Satellite Transfer Vehicle (STV), which provides an economical and adaptable longboat for space satellites, is discussed. Market factors affecting satellite delivery and Space Shuttle upper-stage design are discussed, taking into account how the STV may fit into the Shuttle or the Ariane upper stage. The development and technical configuration, and commercial potential of the STV are examined. The Surrey Small Satellite Transfer Vehicle (S3TV) should be capable of transferring a number of nano- or picosatellites from the launch vehicle injection orbit to a target orbit and providing phased deployment into a constellation. The resulting economy of scale could provide an opportunity for regular and lower cost launches. Solar Orbital Transfer Vehicle (SOTV)GA is a major subcontractor to Boeing on the SOTV, a space vehicle that can efficiently transport space payloads from Low Earth Orbits (LEO) to Geosynchronous Orbits (GEO) while providing kilowatts of electrical power. A solar concentrator heats a graphite receiver up to temperatures of 2400 K. Heat from the graphite receiver is used to heat thermionic converters, which produce efficient, reliable electrical power. Alternately, hydrogen can be passed through passages within the graphite receiver, expanded out a nozzle and used to produce highly efficient propulsion. Le rôle de véhicule de transfert et de retour d'équipage sera tenu dans un premier temps par un vaisseau Soyouz russe. Cependant, un engin spécifique est en cours de développement, basé sur le X-38 expérimental de la NASA. Ce X-38 dont le premier modèle de vol devrait être testé depuis une navette spatiale en 2001, est capable d'abriter jusqu'à six personnes, alors que le Soyouz ne peut en recevoir que trois.
