Le Centre d'action bénévole Accès existe officiellement comme organisme communautaire depuis novembre 1983. Il est né de la volonté des résidents d'Aylmer de se doter d'un service qui fournirait aux gens dans le besoin une aide confidentielle, compétente et compatissante afin qu'ils puissent rejoindre les groupes les mieux qualifiés pour leur venir en aide. The Saint John Volunteer Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote, encourage and support volunteerism with the Greater Saint John Area. Volunteers are recruited and referred through the Saint John Volunteer Centre to more than 200 non-profit organizations in and around Saint John.
