Les parois des boîtes de bois cintré sont confectionnées au moyen d'un seul morceau de bois, typiquement du cèdre. La technique de cintrage du bois pour créer une boîte imperméable est originaire de la côte du Nord-Ouest et elle continue d'être utilisée de nos jours.
