Il faut éviter les génériques «remonte-pente» et «remontée mécanique» qui valent pour tout type de remontée. La terminologie de l'industrie permettant de désigner clairement et aisément, «télésiège à deux places» tient beaucoup plus de la définition que de la désignation proprement dite.

In Car Service terminology, a car intended for and belonging to a railroad with which the handling carrier does not have an interchange. A coarse thread is preferred when rapidity and ease of assembly are desired, and where strength and clamping power are not of prime importance.
