At the end of the J stroke, the paddle is kniffed forward underwater with the power face of the paddle almost flat and facing up. Steering is accomplished by pulling up on the blade as it is brought forward. About halfway through the recovery, the paddle is allowed to slip out of the water in readiness for the next power stroke. The trick is getting a very slight angle on the blade as it comes forward. Le redressement se fait de façon continue en soulevant progressivement la pale durant son retour vers l’avant. DRDC Valcarter is a major Canadian military research station in Quebec, one of seven centres making up Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC). Originally formed at the end of World War II in 1945 as the Canadian Armament Research and Development Establishment (CARDE), the intent was to keep the research teams built up during the war in Canada, as opposed to moving to the United States. Starting in 1951 CARDE implemented a major missile development program, eventually delivering two combat systems, the Velvet Glove air-to-air missile and the Heller anti-tank rocket. Canadian Rural Partnership, Pilot Projects 2000-2001. Northwest Territories. The Community Gardening Society of Inuvik has converted a decommissioned arena into a community greenhouse which will extend the growing season of numerous plants and vegetables, ensure a successful harvest and allow production of a greater variety of fresh produce. Greenhouse officials also plan to study the effect of longer summer hours on crops. La Community Gardening Society d’Inuvik a transformé une ancienne patinoire couverte en serre communautaire dans le but d’étendre la saison de production de nombreux végétaux et légumes, d’obtenir à coup sûr de meilleures récoltes et de produire une plus grande variété de produits frais. Les responsables de la serre envisagent aussi d’étudier l'effet sur la croissance des cultures d’un allongement des heures d’éclairement d’été.
