The role of the International Health Policy and Communications Division is: to facilitate excellence, creativity and effectiveness in the international exchange of information on health policies and practices by: helping external clients to connect quickly to information about Canada's health care system and Canada's international health initiatives; helping Canadian health decision makers to learn about innovative health policies and practices in other countries; contributing international perspectives to Health Canada and other Canadian health agencies as they analyze, evaluate, develop and apply new health policies and practices; and sharing Canada's best policies and practices with other countries. The division manages the department's extensive international visits program as a key element of the information strategy. Le rôle de la Division des politiques de santé internationale et des communications consiste à : faciliter l'excellence, la créativité et l'efficacité au niveau de l'échange international d’information sur les politiques et les pratiques de santé en : aidant les clients externes à obtenir rapidement de l'information sur le système de santé et les initiatives de santé internationale du Canada; aidant les décideurs canadiens en santé à s’informer au sujet des politiques et des pratiques de santé innovatrices de d’autres pays; faisant connaître les perspectives d’autres pays à Santé Canada et à d’autres organismes de santé canadiens tandis qu'ils analysent, évaluent, élaborent et appliquent de nouvelles politiques et pratiques de santé; et partageant les meilleures politiques et pratiques du Canada avec d’autres pays. The philosophy of the university's International Centre is based on creating an international climate on campus through student participation. Through the centre's three inter-related areas: Foreign Student Services and Programs, the Global Education Program and the Education Abroad Program - an environment that provides learning opportunities for students, encourages their participation in development and recognizes them as resources is fostered on campus.
