En novembre 1975, le Chicago Mercantile Exchange a créé une deuxième division : l'Associate Mercantile Market. Cette création avait pour objectif d’insuffler une nouvelle vie à des contrats qui dormaient ou dont le volume des transactions augmentait lentement ou déclinait. Pour réactiver ces marchés, 150 sièges furent vendus. Ils donnaient droit de faire des transactions sur les contrats de bois, des œufs, des pommes de terre, du milo, du beurre et des dindes congelées. Les transactions sur l'Associate Mercantile Market ont effectivement débuté le 3 février 1976.

Nous avons demandé à des spécialistes(représentants d’ONG, chercheurs, urbanistes, ingénieurs, gens d’affaires, concepteurs) de se joindre à cette séance pour faire passer le système GUSSE au stade suivant. Une tribune d’experts sera suivie de discussions en petits groupes, où les participants mettront à l'essai le site pilote et formuleront des suggestions pour la prochaine version du GUSSE, une version de travail qui sera encore mieux adaptée et plus utile.

Hedge fund. A pooled investment vehicle that is privately organised and is administered by professional investment managers. It is different from another pooled investment fund, the mutual fund, in that access is available only to wealthy individuals and institutional managers. The New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is the world's largest physical commodity futures exchange located in New York City. Its two principal divisions are the New York Mercantile Exchange and the New York Commodities Exchange (COMEX) which were once independent companies but are now merged. The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. is currently a large private company. The New York Mercantile Exchange handles billions of dollars worth of energy products, metals, and other commodities being bought and sold on the trading floor and the overnight electronic trading computer system. The prices quoted for transactions on the exchange are the basis for prices that people pay for throughout the world. In 1933, the COMEX was established through the merger of four smaller exchanges: the National Metal Exchange, the Rubber Exchange of New York, the National Raw Silk Exchange, and the New York Hide Exchange. On august 3, 1994, the NYMEX and COMEX finally merged under the NYMEX. Now, the NYMEX operates in a state of the art trading facility and office building with two trading floors in the World Financial Center in downtown Manhattan.

"Normal course issuer bid" means an issuer bid which is made in reliance on the exemption contained in securities legislation from certain requirements relating to issuer bids which is available if the number of securities acquired by the issuer within a period of twelve months does not exceed 5 percent of the securities of that class issued and outstanding at the commencement of the period, or a normal course issuer bid as defined in the policies of The Montreal Exchange, The Canadian Venture Exchange or The Toronto Stock Exchange, conducted in accordance with the policies of that exchange.

Under NI 55-101 an issuer can report acquisitions in connection with a normal course issuer bid (as defined in NI 55-101) within 10 calendar days of the end of the month in which the acquisition occurred, as opposed to within 10 calendar days after the transaction. NI 55-101 requires you to report each acquisition. We recognize that the exemption in NI 55-101 only specifically covers acquisitions. However, the CSA [Canadian Securities Administrators] is of the view that each cancellation of the securities acquired under the normal course issuer bid should also be reported at the same time.
