In November 2001, the Canadian Seniors Partnership (CSP) was formed as a natural evolution of the Assistant Deputy Minister Seniors Cluster Steering Committee that had been established in the fall of 2000 to guide the development and launch of the Seniors Canada On-line (SCOL) Web site - a multi-jurisdictional, Government On-line (GOL) initiative. The Canadian Seniors Partnership is a new means of collaboration among government and non-government jurisdictions in Canada that has been established to implement service improvements for Canadian seniors. The partnership serves as a forum for information sharing and collaboration that does not interfere with traditional reporting relationships and accountability.
