Tertiary tests are in vivo manifestations of a primary interaction between antigen and antibody. Examples include skin testing and provocative challenge. These tests are most useful to the clinician, as they correlate well with clinical disease and test an intact organism. Classification des réactions antigènes-anticorps. Les méthodes «tertiaires» étudient les conséquences biologiques in vivo des inter-actions primaires. Leur complexité est encore plus grande que celle des réactions secondaires. Elles ajoutent aux variables inhérentes aux réactions primaires et secondaires liées à l'antigène et aux anticorps des paramètres propres à l'individu, tels que le niveau du complément ou les récepteurs cellulaires pour les fragments Fc des Ig. A rapidly occurring (within 30 min) antibody-mediated reaction arising from the release of histamine and other vasoactive substances. The antibody (an immunoglobulin, usually of IgE type) fixes to cells, especially mast cells. Réaction d’immunité humorale. La combinaison antigène-anticorps susceptible de fixer le complément forme des immuncomplexes qui se déposent dans les parois vasculaires où ils provoquent une inflammation(phénomène d’Arthus). Les anticorps sont des IgG ou des IgM de type précipitant; les manifestations pathologiques apparaissent après quelques heures et la réaction est dite semi-retardée.
