The Northern Dimension of Canada's Foreign Policy (NDFP) sets out a vision for Canada in the circumpolar world, based on cooperation with Northerners and our circumpolar neighbours. The northern foreign policy promotes Canadian interests and values as we work to address the issues we have in common with our northern partners. Canada has committed $2 million a year for the implementation of the NDFP. Le Volet nordique de la politique étrangère du Canada définit une vision du rôle du Canada dans le monde circumpolaire, qui repose sur la coopération avec les habitants et les voisins du Nord. Le but de Pélagie : un regard vers le passé pour l'espoir de l'avenir est de promouvoir l'apprentissage du français langue seconde en répondant aux besoins de l'étudiant. On peut réaliser ce but à travers l'environnement hypermédia de la Toile, qui donne l'occasion à l'étudiant de régler son acquisition. L'étudiant pourra lire l'extrait de Pélagie-la-Charrette à son propre rythme tout en acquérant une compréhension de base dans un environnement hypermédia ;l'audio, la vidéo, les explications et les images assisteront l'étudiant à comprendre les éléments littéraires, langagiers et historiques.
