Bursters are explosives or explosive devices that are used as the main destructive elements in ammunition. They differ from the initiators and boosters in that they are in general somewhat less sensitive to initiation by usual means. However, when once initiated, the destructive effect is likely to be as severe or more severe than that of either the initiators or boosters. T.N.T. is an example of a bursting explosive. 3, record 1, English, - burster%20charge

4, record 1, French, - charge%20d%27%C3%A9clatement
