On May 11th 2000, the Chambre de Commerce de Shawinigan/Shawinigan-Sud merged with the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Grand-Mère Inc. and the Chambre de commerce de St-Boniface to form the Chambre de commerce du Centre-de-la-Mauricie, later renamed the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Shawinigan.
