A standard unit of turbidity based on the visual extinction of a candle flame when viewed through a column of turbid water containing suspended solids. It varies with the solids composition (barium sulfate, diatomaceous earth, etc.) The JTU has largely been replaced by the more reproducible FTU. 5, record 1, English, - Jackson%20Turbidity%20Unit

(Jackson Turbidity Units), unité F.T.U. (Formazine Turbidity Units), unité N.T.U. (Nephelometric Turbidity Units). 4, record 1, French, - unit%C3%A9%20Jackson
