The Canadian Equipment Industry Training Committee (CEITC) was formed in May 1995. The CEITC is working with the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) to develop an updated Red Seal occupational standard for the heavy-duty equipment mechanic. It is expected that the occupational standard, once validated, will serve as a basis for the development of national curriculum. The CEITC will finalize its report on human resource needs of the industry and existing training. It will then present a proposal to continue working toward an industry-wide approach to training and also plans to examine training needs for partspersons in their industry, using the Red Seal occupational standard. 1, record 1, English, - Canadian%20Equipment%20Industry%20Training%20Committee
