meander: there is no example of this generic in Canada when its meaning is a pronounced curve in the path of a watercourse. It is usually formed by the undercutting of the concave bank and the accumulation ol alluvial deposits on the convex bank. The Canadian Geographical Names Board (CGNB) therefore recommends to translate "méandre" by "meander". 2, record 2, English, - meander
