"Grand Pré" is the actual spelling of the name of a dispersed rural community, thus an inhabited place; spelled as was the historically inhabited place, "Grand-Pré", it is the specific in "Grand-Pré National Historic Site (N.S.)", a national historic site managed by Parks Canada. The residents of the actual "Grand Pré" would like to have the spelling "Grand-Pré" reestablished. «Grand Pré» est la graphie actuelle du nom d'une collectivité rurale dispersée, donc un lieu habité; écrit comme l'était le lieu historiquement habité, «Grand-Pré» , il est le spécifique dans «lieu historique national de Grand-Pré (N.-É.)», un lieu historique national géré par Parcs Canada. Les habitants de l'actuel «Grand Pré» voudraient voir la graphie historique «Grand-Pré» rétablie.
