The new set features Sony's Digital Reality Creation™ circuitry (DRC) and CineMotion™ reverse 3:2 pull-down process. The CineMotion process minimizes motion artifacts caused when 24-frame-per-second film is transferred to 30-frame-per-second video. Combined with DRC, the result is a superb picture with improved sharpness and enhanced image dimensionality.

La plupart des émissions de grande écoute et des DVD furent enregistrés à l'origine sur film cinématographique. C'est pourquoi Sony incorpore la technologie d'inversion de pas des cadres d'image 3:2 CineMotionMC. Son résultat est spectaculaire en affichant les images cinématographiques en balayage progressif 480p. Certains systèmes de balayage progressif «mélangent» une paire de trames de film à raison de deux sur cinq trames vidéo, ce qui risque de rendre l'image floue. Par contraste, le système de Sony restitue l'intégrité des trames de fils originales.
