Le réflectomètre temporel (TDR = Time Domain Reflectometer) est en fait un radar unidimensionnel en boucle fermée [...] Le signal est fourni par un générateur de saut à flanc très raide (très faible temps de montée) qui envoie un saut de tension d'amplitude Ei dans la ligne à étudier, via un té d'échantillonnage. Le signal réfléchi, d'amplitude Er, vient se combiner dans le té avec le signal émis, et est observé à l'aide d'un oscilloscope à échantillonnage. Le temps de retour du signal réfléchi est fonction de la distance de l'obstacle et de la vitesse de propagation dans la ligne. L'axe horizontal de l'oscilloscope est gradué directement en distance, et l'axe vertical représente la somme algébrique des signaux émis et réfléchis; on peut ainsi déterminer directement la nature et la valeur de l'obstacle, ainsi que sa distance par rapport à l'origine. 2, record 1, French, - r%C3%A9flectom%C3%A8tre%20temporel
