The Cover Crop Protection Program (CCPP) is a national initiative that provides financial assistance to Canadian producers who are unable to seed commercial crops due to spring flooding or excessive field moisture. Objectives of the CCPP are to: improve the capacity of affected farmers to meet increased costs associated with land restoration and improvement due to flooding; improve short-term cash flow concerns for farmers; recognize the hardships faced by farmers due to flooding; and help reduce further soil erosion by enabling farmers to re-seed affected lands, bringing them back into production. 1, record 10, English, - Cover%20Crop%20Protection%20Program
