En outre, dans certains cas, c'est un genre d'opération dont le but est d'éliminer l'hydrogène sulfuré quand il est présent. Le brut est introduit en tête de colonne et il rencontre en descendant un gaz épuré qui entraîne le gaz acide contenu dans le brut.
