On 28 December 1807 Father Peter Joseph Triest gathered together a number of young men whose task was to become the care of a group of elderly men. In Ghent, like in many towns in our region, the circumstances in which the poor, the sick, and the elderly were forced to live were abominable. Triest wanted to do something about that. So he founded four congregations. Our story is about one of them: the Brother of Charity. Originally, they were named the Hospital Brothers of St. Vincent. In 1811 the first Brothers took their religious vows. From then on, they lived the life of a religious brother. 1, record 23, English, - Brothers%20of%20Charity

Mesquite [is] a hardwood that comes from a mesquite tree that is cut into chips and used in smoking processes to add flavour to meats. Mesquite trees grow in dry soils most notably in arid regions. When foods are roasted with a fire that includes mesquite chips, the food acquires a slightly sweet earthy and smoky flavor. Mesquite flavors have been developed that duplictae the taste of foods smoked with mesquite chips, allowing a variety of various sauces, meats, and other foods flavored with mesquite to provide a sweet smoky taste. 5, record 40, English, - honey%20mesquite

The injection of natural gas and urea has been shown to enhance the NOx reduction potential of the natural gas in utility boilers. The chemical kinetics mechanisms of FLGR® and SNCR have many of the same selective reactions. The injection of natural gas in hot, low oxygen furnace gas results in the formation of hydrocarbon radicals (CHi) and the subsequent formation of nitrogen radicals. The injection of urea (NH2-CO-NH2) results in the formation of similar nitrogen radicals. A city of the province of Quebec located, at first, on the west side, but now on both sides of the Richelieu River. Capital of the Upper Richelieu, it takes its origin in the construction of Fort Saint-Jean in 1665, one of a series of forts erected along the Richelieu during the French Regime (hence the designation "Valley of the Forts"). In the 18th Century, the village around the fort was named "Dorchester." Trade between Canada and the United States explained the development of the site. Linked to La Prairie by the first railroad in Canada in 1836, its importance grew with the opening of the Chambly Canal in 1843. A municipality was created in 1845 under the name of "Saint-Jean," abolished in 1847, and erected again in 1855 as the parish municipality of Saint-Jean-l'Évangéliste (the parish itself was founded in 1667 and became "Saint-Jean-l'Évangéliste-de-Dorchester" with its canonical erection in 1831). In 1970, the municipality became part of the city of Saint-Jean (incorporated in 1856) to give birth to a new city of Saint-Jean. In 1978, the city took the name of "Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu" to distinguish it from other Canadian cities with the same name. The city's constant growth is linked to its important industrial activity and agricultural production (milk farms and fruit and vegetable cultures in the plains of the Richelieu Valley). The city is also known for the Collège militaire de Saint-Jean, the only French military college in Canada. On 24 January 2001, the municipality of L'Acadie, the parish municipality of Saint-Athanase, and the cities of Iberville, of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and of Saint-Luc were united to create a new city, first designated "Saint-Jean—Iberville" (with a dash between the name of the two cities), then changed to "Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu" on 26 May 2001. So, in the course of history, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu will have had, among its names: "village of Dorchester," "Saint John," "Saint-Jean—Saint John," "municipality of Sai 2, record 88, English, - Saint%2DJean%2Dsur%2DRichelieu

Any stroke that for some reason is replayed without penalty. In an average game, only two types of let are encountered: 1) when called solely in respect of a service that one service only shall be replayed; 2) when called under any other circumstance, the point shall be replayed. For instance, a serve that nicks the top of the net, then bounces in the proper service court is to be replayed. By extension, also a call made by the umpire or by one of the players to indicate that a point should be replayed because of a stray ball rolling across the court. Sometimes the term "let" is mistakenly referred to as a "net serve". A "let" is also played if, for instance, the receiver of a service is not ready to start; if one player involuntarily hinders his opponent; or if a player is hindered in playing by an external agency. 2, record 89, English, - let

Caution: If the ball touches the net on a service, the net judge will call "net", or sometimes "filet"(French Open). The umpire, however, will call "let", since "let" is the official call he must make. This distinction is not always upheld in social play, where informally one hears the following expressions: "two", "take two", or "play two", i.e. take two serves since the first one touched the net (and landed in), "play one", "take one", "second serve", i.e. first serve touched the net and landed out.
