Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
7, record 1, French, - cour
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 3 OBS

It is sometimes difficult to determine whether a statement is a representation inducing the other party to contract, or a term or stipulation of the contract. It is the terms which give content to the parties’ agreement, and questions of whether a contract has been performed or breached commonly depend on ascertainment and interpretation of the terms agreed. Terms may be express, stated in the contract, or imported by reference to some other document where they are set out in full, or implied into the contract, by common law, by custom and usage, by statute, and in some other ways.(Walker, p. 1211) 2, record 25, English, - term

Due to the profusion of English terms possible, care must be exercised when choosing the correct English term for a given context. When reference is made to a butterfly or moth in its larval stage, then terms that include the words "worm" or "caterpillar" would be more appropriate than those that include the word "moth", which normally would imply that the insect is in its adult stage. However what complicates matters is that the female species of this family of moths does not always develop wings in adulthood. Indeed several female species retain their larval form even in adult life, hence the confusion in usage and the abundance of terms in general circulation. It is recommended however that the shortest term "bagworm" should only be used as a stylistic synonym, in cases where one would prefer not to repeat a longer term already mentioned earlier in a given text. 4, record 62, English, - bagworm%20moth

The Global Programme for Vaccines and Immunization(GPV) was established in March 1994. This Programme incorporated two existing programmes from the World Health Organization, the Expanded Programme on Immunization and the former Programme for Vaccine Development, and a new unit for Vaccine Supply and Quality was established. The Programme thus has terms of reference that span from basic vaccine research, through vaccine production and quality control, to helping ministries of health plan and manage their immunization services and control vaccine-preventable diseases. 2, record 64, English, - Global%20Programme%20for%20Vaccines%20and%20Immunization

The person-trade-off approach is the very essence of the saved-young-life equivalent(SAVE) procedure, which has been proposed as an alternative to the QALY procedure. Saving a young person from dying and restoring him or her to a healthy life is chosen as a reference outcome. This outcome is assigned the value 1. Other outcomes are described in terms of a) how severely ill the patients are before treatment and b) how much they are helped. People are asked to compare pairs of outcomes in terms of equivalence of numbers of people heated. This establishes the person trade-offs in terms of value in a direct way. Outcomes rather than health states are then assigned values on a 0-1 scale such as to encapsulate the observed trade-offs. 2, record 76, English, - saved%20young%20life%20equivalent

3, record 84, French, - colonne%20lumineuse

The CLIVAR Upper Ocean Panel(UOP) met for the first time 18-19 December 1995 at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The meeting was chaired by Dr Ants Leetmaa; a list of Panel members and invited experts can be found in Appendix A. The main objectives of this meeting were to review the Panel' s terms of reference, define immediate goals, outline a strategy to meet these, and begin to develop a list of scientific topics which the Panel will investigate. The first day was devoted largely to discussions of the terms of reference, relevant national and international planning activities, particularly those related to CLIVAR, WOCE and GCOS/GOOS, and the status of the various upper ocean observing systems in place. 1, record 95, English, - CLIVAR%20Upper%20Ocean%20Panel

... the urban world into which Mary progressively enters is typical of modern African town-life. It displays the familiar interplay between formal and informal sector markets for labour and commodities, a high degree of ethnic and linguistic pluralism, and a relative dominance of formal organizations. The last foster a general awareness of formal-sector career models, which the young urbanites especially seek to emulate. Kinship appears to offer an urban reception structure for recent migrants that patterns urban-rural relations; however, ready alternatives to kinship are offered by urban churches and by the urban workplace, each providing a non-kinship, urban reception structure and reference group which may, however, superficially be cast in the idiom of fictive kinship. Commonly men and women do not follow the same trajectories in urbanization. The town, while largely destructive or rural-based social placement, is the site of a proliferation of new forms of social placement in class terms, depending on capital formation and on socio-economic distinction. 2, record 97, English, - reception%20structure

The Performance Path offers the greatest design flexibility, allowing for a building that does not meet some of the prescriptive requirements (subject to certain limitations) but that will not consume more energy than it would have if it had been designed in accordance with the Prescriptive Path. 1, record 98, English, - performance%20path

A performance approach(also known as a systems performance approach) allows you to compare your proposed design with a baseline or reference design and demonstrate that the proposed design is at least as energy efficient as the baseline in terms of annual energy use. This approach allows great flexibility but requires considerably more effort. A performance approach is often necessary to obtain credit for special features, such as passive solar, photovoltaic cells, thermal energy storage, fuel cells, and other nontraditional building components. This approach requires an annual energy analysis for the proposed and the reference buildings. 4, record 98, English, - performance%20path

The WMO Eleventh World Meteorological Congress(May 1991) decided that a Co-ordinating Committee for the World Climate Programme(CCWCP) should be established to provide overall co-ordination between the four components of the World Climate Programme and effective communication and co-ordination with other related international climate activities; and that, in consultation with UNEP, UNESCO and its IOC, FAO and ICSU, and other relevant organizations. Following this decision, the WMO Executive Council at its forty-third session(May 1991) formulated the terms of reference and identified the membership of the Committee. Further the Secretary-General of WMO, in consultation with the Executive Heads of UNEP, UNESCO and its IOC, FAO and ICSU, finalized the establishment of the Committee and called the first session of the CCWCP on 4 and 5 May 1992. 2, record 99, English, - Co%2Dordinating%20Committee%20for%20the%20World%20Climate%20Programme

A good understanding of the basic axis system used to describe aircraft motion is necessary to fully appreciate flight test data, since all measurements are referenced to this axis system. Aircraft translational motion is described in terms of motion in three different directions, each direction being perpendicular to the other two(orthogonal). Motion in the X direction is forward and aft velocity. The Y direction produces sideways motion to the left and right, and up and down motion is in the Z direction... There are several slightly different versions of the basic axis system just described. They differ primarily in the exact placement of the zero reference lines, but are generally similar in their directions.(For example, the body-axis system uses the fuselage center line as the x axis, while a wind-axis system uses the direction that the aircraft is moving through the air as the x axis.) 4, record 100, English, - body%20axis%20system
