[...] on connaît fort bien les Onychogales, ou wallabies à queue onglée, ainsi nommés parce que la partie terminale de leur queue est recouverte d'une formation cornée, évoquant un ongle plat. Ce sont des animaux d'assez petite taille, à peu près celle d'un lapin, couverts d'un poil doux et brillant, généralement gris, avec des taches et des bandes blanches sur le dos.
