Le mur rideau, composé de panneaux en béton préfabriqués (precast concrete panels), en maçonnerie préfabriquée (prefabricated masonry), en aluminium ou en acier inoxydable, se pose soit sur une ossature secondaire appelée grille (grid) assujettie à l'ossature primaire (main structure), soit directement sur cette dernière au moyen de cornières de fixation (clip angles).
