Il s'agit de l'hespérie (papillon) Atrytone dukesi. «Hespérie», nom populaire réservé à une des deux sous-familles de papillons (les Pyrginae et les Hesperiinae) comprend plusieurs genres, dont «Atrytone». Par contre toute hespérie ne constitue pas nécessairement un «skipper». Il y a des hespéries qui sont rendues en anglais par «dusky wings», d'autres par «cloudy wings», encore d'autres par «sooty wings».
