Disinfection of ion exchangers. Operating difficulties sometimes occur due to the presence of microorganisms. These difficulties are of two types: clogging of the bed invaded by bacterial colonies (especially on carboxylic resins); internal contamination of the resin pores (especially on anion exchangers).
