It would appear that for good stabilization a loading of 2 kg / m3 d (125 lb / 1000 ft3 d) must be exceeded with activated sludge or of 3 to 4 kg / m3 d (187 to 250 lb / 1000 ft3 d) with a mixture of fresh sludge. This limitation would appear to be explained by the difficulty of achieving a perfectly even consistency and of diffusing the oxygen through the bacterial floc in sludge which is too thick.  1, record 1, English, - bacterial%20floc

Il apparaît que, pour obtenir une stabilisation de qualité, il ne faut pas dépasser pour des boues activées seules une charge de 2 kg de M.V. / m3. jour et, pour un mélange de boues fraîches une charge de 3 à 4 kg de M.V. / m3. jour.
