BALAYAGE LIGNE [4 records]

Record 1 2007-01-31

English

Subject field(s)
  • Radar, Radio Guidance and Goniometry
  • Remote Sensing
DEF

Linear exploration by using an electromagnetic beam.

CONT

[The] Multi-Spectral Scanner... is a line scanning device which records from four bands, two in the visible and two in the near infrared spectral bands. The system is comprised of a telescope, a mirror which reflects ground radiation onto a bank of 24 electro-optical sensors, band filters and a sampling system, an internal calibration system and various devices which ensure an orderly stream of digital data for each pixel and spectral band. It images six scan lines in each of the four spectral bands simultaneously giving a 24 scan-line total.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Radar, radioguidage et radiogoniométrie
  • Télédétection
DEF

Record 2 2007-01-31

English

Subject field(s)
  • Television (Radioelectricity)
DEF

line sweep: The horizontal to-and-fro movement of the spot at the line frequency.

DEF

horizontal sweep: Movement of the electron beam from left to right across the screen or the scene being televised.

CONT

Horizontal scanning. This linear rise of current in the horizontal deflection coils deflects the beam across the screen with a continuous, uniform motion for the trace from left to right.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Télévision (Radioélectricité)
DEF

In waterflooding, a pattern of injection wells designed to advance the water to the producing wells in the form of a frontal movement.

CONT

The more common injection patterns include line drive, five spot, seven spot, nine spot, and peripheral.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Production pétrolière
DEF
