Los biolubricantes permiten obtener el mismo o incluso un mejor rendimiento técnico que los lubricantes con base mineral en un gran número de aplicaciones. Poseen además la ventaja adicional de que son rápidamente biodegradables (se descomponen) y carecen de componentes tóxicos, tanto para el medioambiente como para el ser humano.
